1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StandCalm ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StandCalm is a self-help application that provides educational information and techniques based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles for managing anxiety. The Service is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • •The information provided is for educational and self-help purposes only.

  • •If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

5. Your Account

  • •You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • •You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • •You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • •We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Subscription and Payment

  • •Certain features require a paid subscription.
  • •Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis (annual) or as a one-time payment (lifetime).
  • •All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • •Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • •You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or Stripe Customer Portal.
  • •Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy and applicable consumer protection laws.

7. User Content and Data

  • •You retain ownership of any content you create within the Service (journals, progress data, etc.).
  • •We store your data securely and use it only to provide and improve the Service.
  • •You can request deletion of your data at any time.
  • •We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by StandCalm and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • •The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
  • •We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
  • •We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • •Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.
  • •Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
